ELC Scholarships

The following scholarships are available to language learning students enrolled directly in the English Language Center at Michigan State University.  All scholarships require a submission in English or other languages spoken with a preference for bilingual or multilingual submissions. They also require a photo of the applicant as well as an additional submission that may be unique to each of the scholarships.

In most cases, a scholarship is taxable income if it used to pay for a non-degree program, or it is used for expenses other than tuition (e.g. room, board, travel, etc.). Please contact a tax professional for additional information or assistance before you accept any of these scholarships. You may ask the scholarship administrator to submit payment directly to the center.
